People always seem to mock this series.  It has it’s faults, everything does, but what I think some readers over look in favour of the shock factor (the incest), is the beauty of it, the atmosphere that’s running through the pages. The wealth of old money, the piles of presents in shining paper, Catherine dancing in the dusty attic, alone, frustrated.
